Birthdays, Babies, and Bulldogs

We love three-day weekends in the King household and Labor Day was no exception!  We started off the weekend Friday night by celebrating Emily D.'s birthday at Catfish Plantation with a group of friends.  I stole this picture off Facebook since it's the only one I have of the night, even though it's missing the birthday girl!

Saturday, we woke up early and headed to Vicksburg to see Lauren and Mark and meet baby Caroline!  We even managed to drive the whole way, stopping only once!  We stopped at Newk's in Vicksburg to pick up a late lunch and then  it was on to see the Differents!

Mommy and Caroline

Ready to cheer on the bulldogs!  She is so precious!!

Henderson got in on the baby holding action, too!  She loved to nap on his chest.  :)

Sweet Annabelle!

We spent the afternoon watching football games.  Mississippi State's was interrupted to show the rest of the Auburn game.  It was supposed to be sent to an alternate channel on the SEC Network, but no one could find it.  I loved the image above to explain our frustrations!  Best part of the night: we beat USM 49-0!!

Caroline had the cutest clothes!

Sunday, we met Mimi at Walnut Hills - her favorite place in Vicksburg.  They have a round table where you eat family style.  There was so much food!  It was so great to catch up with her!

Then it was back to playing with Caroline!

Whitney came over from Brandon Sunday evening so that we could all catch up!  She is expecting a baby boy in January so I loved seeing her baby bump in person!

Just like our old college days!  Not!

Monday, I got a few more minutes of holding sweet Caroline and we were off!

Crossing the Mississippi headed back to Texas

My favorite quote of the weekend came from Henderson, "Potholes and porn shops - we're in Louisiana!"

It was such a great time seeing Lauren, Mark, and Caroline.  It was nice to get away since we haven't left the house much this summer.  Gearing up for my next treatment tomorrow!  Your prayers for an easy round are much appreciated!
