EHS Class of 2005

This summer was my 10 year high school reunion.  10 YEARS!!  It was a great excuse to head east for the weekend!  I took a half day and we headed to the 'sip!

Dixon loves driving!

Saturday, a whole bunch of my family came to my mom's house to see us!  Henderson's parents even drove down.  I had to get a selfie!

Our reunion was at Little Dooey's in Starkville.  It was a fun night catching up in person (since most of us are facebook friends, we all kind of knew what was going on in each other's lives.

The #selfiestick was a hit and we had a blast!!

Sunday morning before heading home, we went to meet sweet Anna Claire and to see the rest of the Hubbards.  I so enjoyed seeing all of my family!  It was great to do a quick catch up.  Can't wait to see everyone again soon!!

Fourth of July in Vicksburg!

Even though I just got back from our week-long vacation, I could resist the urge to visit family/friends over the Fourth of July.  Henderson needed to work since it would be his first Saturday in business for himself so I ventured over to Vicksburg Thursday afternoon by myself!

Friday Mimi and Daddy came over to eat lunch at Rusty's.  (I'm writing this after Mimi died so I'm so happy that we had this little bit of time together.)  We got to talk about Costa Rica and eat some delicious food!  Of course, I took a ton of pictures!

After lunch, we all headed downtown and Mimi, Lauren and I went shopping while Daddy napped in the car.  Looking back, I'm so glad Mimi and I were able to go shopping together one last time.  We even bought Isabella a birthday gift that I gave her after Mimi died.

For dinner Friday night, Lauren, Caroline, Mark, and me went to 10 South, a cool rooftop restaurant overlooking the Mississippi River.  For a cocktail, I ordered a Mississippi sunset - delicious!

And this steak covered in fries did not disappoint!

Great views!

A picture on the Fourth with this pretty baby!  Mark had to work on the Fourth so Lauren and I did a little shopping and just hung around town.

That night we watched fireworks in the rain in their driveway!

It was such a great weekend getting to spend time with one of my best friends and her beautiful family!

iPhone Photo Dump

Another round of iPhone picture updates!

Erin teaching me how to breathe during one of our runs.  So glad to have someone to exercise with!

I had a herceptin treatment and the lady across from me was celebrating her last chemo with these delicious cookies!!

That same day there was a free ice cream truck at the office...

and a happy hour during working hours.  Fridays are tough.  ;)

But then I got to hang out with this little guy and his parents for dinner!  Henderson couldn't join because of the weather (WILL IT EVER STOP RAINING?!?!)

Remember those couple of days this little website went viral?  Yeah, apparently I do have the hair cut of a 70-year-old...

One Friday night Henderson and I fired up the fire pit and made some s'mores.  This little guy was my buddy all night long.

And I made these delicious margaritas.  They're actually my friend's (Hi, Sarah!) mom's recipe.  1 can of frozen limeade, then one can full of sprite, tequila, and beer each.  Mix it together and enjoy!!  So tasty!!

Weekend Shenanigans

Henderson and I started off the weekend with a date at State + Allen.  It was perfect weather and delicious cocktails!

Saturday night we joined our friend Jeanette at the Rangers game!  The Rangers didn't win but still a fun night of ballpark concessions!

My favorite beer.  So glad it's produced year-round now!

Shrimp Boil

A few weeks ago we had our Sunday School class over for a shrimp boil.  Thanks to Daddy for the shrimp and sausage!

Of course, I had to use my McCarty.  I made up a batch of beer-margaritas and set out fruit and other items for people to make their own drinks or Henderson to make some blackberry bourbon lemonade.

Delicious shrimp, potatoes, and corn!!  So good!!

Dixon loved Megan!

I got these cups at Canton and have loved using them every chance I get!

Sweet furbaby!

Fun night with sweet friends!

Relay for Life

May 2nd was the Relay for Life in Ennis and Crossfit Ellis had a team!  I went as a survivor (my first relay event) and it was bittersweet.  Some days it is still hard for me to affiliate my self with cancer so this was difficult, but the delicious dinner and free t-shirt made up for it a little bit!  :)
