This is the bathroom from our bed. The opening on the left goes to my vanity, and the opening on the right goes to Henderson's. His was just like mine except he had another cabinet instead of a cut out for a chair. One of our biggest problems with the bathroom was the lack of a door. I can't tell you how hard it is to get ready if Henderson is still asleep.
This is the view from my vanity into the toilet and shower area and through to Henderson's vanity and closet. As you can see, his closet had the breaker box, which is not up to current code. As a result, our first step will be to put the breaker box outside in the same area and to use Henderson's closet as our vanities.
The pocket doors shown here may look charming, but they are hardly private. The openings were too large for the doors so they never closed completely. Also, while using the "potty" your knees will touch the shower door. Just a tad bit annoying.
Here's a shot of the shower. As you can see, it screams tiny!!
And the shower head and knobs leave much to be desired.
Henderson's vanity
The final before picture is of my walk-in closet. My vanity (the left opening in the first picture) and this closet will make up our new walk-in closet that we'll both use.
The bathroom remodel was exhausting but we did have a great contractor! Up next, after pictures!!
