Greener Grass

After fixing the landscaping, our front yard still looked a tad bit pitiful.  Before our house was put on the market, the flippers put down rye grass.  Obviously, it died in the spring.  So, one Thursday, we had two pallets of grass delivered and Henderson rented a tiller from Home Depot.

Here's the before pictures looking from the front porch.

Two pallets of sod, ready to go!

Henderson spent about two hours tilling the areas we wanted to lay sod, including the area between the sidewalk and the road.

This was the front yard after Thursday evening.  We laid a little over half of one pallet before calling it quits.

Friday afternoon, I got home before Henderson and started laying sod by myself.  We had a busy weekend ahead, so I wanted to finish it Friday night.

This is the picture I made when Henderson got home Friday evening.  You can see how much I laid all by myself!  I was pretty proud - 51 pieces!

Now for the after pic - we finished around 7:30 Friday night, showered and headed to grab some grub!

No more sod to lay!!
